I wanted to crosspost this from the mailing list for the benefit of those members that haven't heard yet. :bingo: :dancing_b

*************************************************

Greetings from Wisconsin!

Jim Coate from The Electric Tractor Store here. We are happy to announce
that we are acquiring all the Elec-Trak parts and documentation from
Bill Gunn's Technical Services company.

We are presently packing everything up and will post more details in the
future. As it involves literally 2+ tractor trailer loads of various
parts, it will take quite a while before every box is explored to know
the full inventory.

I would also like to announce that I, my wife, and the business, are
moving from upstate NY to the Charlottesville area of Virginia as my
wife begins a new teaching job this fall. The timing means that most of
the inventory will be in storage for a couple of months before I can
even begin to examine it in detail.

During the transition time, I will be reviewing the documentation and
replenishing stock of the more common items. The goal is to keep these
fine tractors running for years to come - not just by lucky finds of new
old stock, but with all needed parts in ongoing production. While there
are no immediate plans to provide troubleshooting support, new parts
will be listed on the website (www.electrictractorstore.com (http://www.electrictractorstore.com/)) as they
become available.

Note that e-mail replies to the above address will not go through
(anti-spam protection). If you want to contact me, use the "contact us"
form on the website at
http://electrictractorstore.com/index.php?main_page=contact_us
and please keep in mind that I can not provide troubleshooting
help/consulting or any specific information on parts not listed on the
website at this time.

Regards,

Jim Coate

Yup, it's true - I got the goodies :D

It took a week to pack about 20 tons into a couple of tractor trailers. Fortunately we were just outside the regions with the severe flooding. Given the complications of sorting through that much stuff combined with my pending move, it will be a while before I look at everything.

However... we will be adding some small things to the on-line store in the near future and with full drawings and documentation at hand, more parts will follow. Note that a new run of "Bill Gunn" style mowing decks are already underway!

Right on Jim! Do you have any decals/drawings for decals? Just curious more than anything. I think I speak for the rest of us when I say we're all looking forward to you getting it all sorted out and setup. Do you know yet when you're moving?

I read rumors about Bill at the tufts digest but never figured out if he actually gave it up or not. Tried to phone him a couple times when I was in the Madison, WI area but did not get anyone.

I think he was the single best resource on these old tractors and I am very excited about the opportunity to be able to purchase NOS parts again.

To that end, THANK YOU for offering to the ET group Bill's parts, improvements and hopefully knowledge and I look forward to doing business with you soon!

I know Keith and he is also a very good resource, he has helped me out more than once, I need to call him.

(PS I need LOTS of small parts to get my ET back to where it should be, but it's a GREAT tractor and I have no plans to ever replace it.)
