I could really use a quick reply to this question.

What is the length, width, height and weight of the standard mowing deck used on an E-20?

I spent an hour last night in the archives trying to find a brochure or manual that disclosed this information and had no success. :cursin:

Now, I have both speeds in reverse and when going into the 2nd speed in forward, the fuse is blown immediately. This is an EGT 120 and I have found a possible mistake on the factory circuit diagram, dealing with the centrifugal switch wiring. Currently, the lead coming back from the switch in the motor is connected to the bottom coil lug on the 2A contactor. It is NOT shown in the circuitry manual. Any help is appreciated!

Greetings,
... a newbie here, but a long-time owner of a C-185. I'm dead in the water right now as when I engage the power disconnect I get nothing - no meter reading or anything. Just before it went dead, I noticed that when going forward in any gear it would excessively click and then occasionally go dead. Releasing the pedal, it would then go again. When I tried to reverse, it would cut off almost immediatley on a regular basis. Took a while to get it back in the barn. Now, as I said, it is dead. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Jeff

As I said in my first post, I am a complete virgin when it comes to the Elec-Trak line of GT's. My buddy Jack in Michigan sent me an e-mail (as he often does) that gave me a link to this e-Bay listing for an E-12 that came with 2 decks.

It was my intention to buy that tractor and I was delighted when no one bid on it for day's on end. I placed my bid in the final seconds of the auction but was shut out because the Seller had placed a block that prevented non-US residents from bidding. OK... fair enough. I was annoyed but not disheartened. I e-mailed this gentleman TWICE, telling him that I was prepared to buy his tractor for the opening bid price. Since he is the one who came up with that number, I figured that he was prepared to accept that amount for it but hoped for a much bigger payday.

I also believed that he would entertain my offer since not a single other person placed a bid. Here's the link..

E-12
http://tinyurl.com/28bppro

Then Jack sent me this one for an E-20 which I now know is heavier and more powerful than the E-12. This one came with a blade and deck but was apparently not in quite as good a shape as the E-12. I had Jack bid on it for me because I wasn't prepared to risk a block being in place and secondly, I had gone away for the weekend to be with my son who races motorcycles and I knew I would not be back in time to do the auction anyway. I was the successful bidder for this one and I am about to try and find someone to transport it for me from AZ to Jack's place in MI.

E-20
http://tinyurl.com/2ftcdg3

Once again, Jack sent me another listing for this E-15 and while it languished for days at the $200.00 mark, it shot up to over $700.00 when the hammer finally fell.

E-15
http://tinyurl.com/27gr2t7

So...... am I missing something here in all of this? Is anyone able to explain why the E-12 got rejected totally and my E-20 scarcely attracted much attention but the people went nuts over the E-15?

The E-15 has no batteries. My E-20's existing batteries are being sent for scrap by the Seller because they are FUBAR'd and I don't want the shipper to have to deal with an extra 350 pounds of junk. Yes, mine has some sort of problem with the charger but golly gee folks, that can't be a deal breaker. I'm confused and so is Jack. Anyone got any info that can put some LOGIC into what happened or is this just how the cookie crumbles with these tractors?

I plan on using my "new" I-5 for "dedicated service"--That is, my front end loader is going to live on it and occasionally, my forklift...So I thought while everything is apart, I'd put some heavier duty spindles on the axle so it can help take the extra weight.
http://www.p.f.engineering.50megs.com/photo.html
I didn't want to do any calculating or adjustments so I used the method that hollows out the new spindle and then it slips over the stock one. I welded the spindle instead of pinning it like the other guy did.

So, here are the photos.....It all cost about $65 at Northern Tool (trailer wheels and hubs were on sale) and best of all, it was really easy! One thing you might notice in the pictures is that stock spindles on I-5's have that extra strap/brace welded on to them for strength. Also the "stop" is larger: Possibly to take the fenders into account.

I just replaced a bad Alltrax on my EGT-150 tractor with a new unit and am having some issues. I bought this tractor from a party who had the original Alltrax professionally installed by a Electric Vehicle shop in the Pacific North West. The wiring was close to what comes with the Alltrax schematic, but not exactly the same. When I placed the new unit in the tractor and started her up I get 6 red led warnings. I have tried a lot of things to troubleshoot this including replacing the main contactor. I have also replaced the bearings and brushes on main drive motor as they were making noise. The symptom that I am seeing is that when I turn the key on the Alltrrax goes green and then as I apply throttle it stays green for a short time then goes to the 6 flashing reds. A meter on the Alltrax + / - poles show voltage going from 37 volts to around 31 volts before it starts complaining and stops. The 10W resister on pins 9 & 10 also is getting extremely hot when this happens. Has anyone experienced this type of thing before and maybe can point me in the correct directions.

Thanks,

Hi guys,
First post. Just so you know, I've poked around trying to find this info for the past couple of hours but came up dry.

I was hoping to find a spec sheet for the E-20 that would give me the correct overall width, height and length of the basic tractor (no deck) plus the operating weight of it with the batteries installed.

I'd also like to know what the deck for this tractor weighs as well as some dimensions.

And lastly.........................I have to ask the dreaded question that most forum members find annoying. :D:D:D

What's fair market value of a utility blade for one of these tractors?

Sorry 'bout that but I have to make an urgent decision here and everything about these tractors is brand new to me.

Thanks in advance.
