Good deal, glad to hear you were able to source some parts. Did you end up getting a complete motor, or just the shell? If you got a complete motor, I would be interested in buying the parts from your old motor (I have a E10 motor that has a funky armature that I'd like to get put together as a spare) if you're not planning on keeping them for yourself.

I have more experience with the large frames, but I'm in the area if you come up against other issues. I'm on the forum here, but also you can email me if you want to get in touch with me - kc2dzb at nycap.rr.com

    Good deal Tom,

You may know this already, but watch your fingers when you slide the armature back in, the magnets will really pull it in fast!

    Hi Tom,

I don't ever recall seeing an exact HP rating for the E10 motor published. I seem to recall it being said that it is around the 1 HP mark, and yes it is a (nominally) 3600 RPM motor.

I'm in Niskayuna not far from Bellevue Hospital.

    Cheers,
    Nick

    Thank very much FarmallMan
the voltage, rpm, rating I got was about 3 hp
I was using 750 watts per horse
but not sure what i was doing working with no factual data
Do you know what the FRAME NUMBER of the DC motor is

I looked all over and have come up with 00000

I was looking at Graingers and they sell DC motors for as little as 189.00 but without a frame number
like looking for light in totally dark closet

I am in Latham on Miller Rd, I did not know Electrakers were in the neighbor hood

I am becoming pretty good at rebuilding TRANSAXLES I have color coded the gears when I open the gear box
    and sure makes life simpler
