Hi guys, pretty new here. I've recently got a 1970 E15 up and running again and then went and bought a 1973 E20 that was already functional with the exception of some missing deck hardware, lights, and batteries.

My question pertains to mid mounting the mowing decks. It appears to me that the New Idea EGT 150 and EGT200 can use the same(?) size decks as an Elec Trak in a mid mounted configuration as seen here: http://www.myelec-traks.com/newidea.html

It looks like the Elec Trak decks could be mid mounted if one removed the caster wheels and their wings. Is this the case? If it is, I'd like to mid mount the deck on the E20. Either way I am more than open to hints and suggestions!

    Thanks
    Chris

Or does it have to be a -M deck to pull off such a thing?

    Thanks once more

Scratch that idea. Looks like I'd need two more low, wide type motors on the spare deck. The center motor is of the low slung type but the sides are not. Dang it! I'd really like to make this idea work.

Anyone want to trade deck motors?

Did more "research" with my eyes and it appears the front axle may be farther forward on the mid mount varieties and the foot rests are also flat, not angled downward like they are on my E20. Looks like this idea was a no-go!

GE large frame tractors for mid mount mowers are the E12M, frame is longer, front axle is more forward and foot boards are flat, not dropped down like E15, E20.
It could work but would mean doing a lot of frame modifications.

There were 3 different E12 tractors made. Get confusing sometimes.
